I’m not necessarily saying that Voltron’s bad; I’m just saying that Voltron’s about teens driving giant robots in space, no subtext, nothing below the surface. Avatar, however, contains themes of war, sexism, genocide, and child abuse, and also has fantastic plot and character development. People only say they’re the same thing because the animation style is similar.
